Our fair city, as you might expect, has attracted the attention of poets throughout the ages. Dunbar, Fergusson, Burns, McGonagall and Robert Garioch have all written about Edinburgh, with contributions ranging from the brilliant to the ludicrous.
If you’d like to find out more, come along to Tom Sommerville’s informal workshop, looking in detail at some of these poems and the stories behind them.
McDonald Road Library, this Thursday (19th May) from 2.30 – 4.00pm
In association with WEA Scotland. Part of Adult Learners’ Week.
