A new online exhibition provides an insight into the hidden history of North Edinburgh and its proud tradition of community activism.
‘Never give up’ focuses on the role of ordinary people in transforming one of Edinburgh’s first peripheral housing areas into a strong community during the austerity of the Post-War years. It shows how North Edinburgh has produced successive generations of activists who have challenged local and national policies to create a better place to live. This is a story of the struggle for social justice and a community who simply refuse to give up.
