It’s ****** ****** week!
This week is Banned Books week so over the next few days we’ll be featuring books which have been banned somewhere or other on social, sexual, religious or moral grounds.
See if you can guess the books from our descriptions!
Today’s book was written by the youngest author we’re featuring this week, and was originally published midway through the last century.
Come on in, we’re open!
Today is a local public holiday so if you’ve got the day off what better way to spend it than visiting the library?
We’re open as normal.
Morningside Mobile Library Service
The mobile library which is in place while Morningside Library is being refurbished will only be in its usual location in Falcon Road West (directly across from the library building) from 4-7pm today.
Due to unavoidable maintenance work on our vehicle fleet the mobile libary won’t be there at all on Friday but will return for duty on Saturday morning.
The refurbishment work in the library is going really well and we should have some exciting news to share with you fairly soon…
Drumbrae: the movie(s)
We’d just been sent these groovy videos of the proposed interior of the new Drumbrae Library and wanted to share them with you. Have a look and tell us what you think.
Library catalogue system maintenance
The library catalogue will be unavailable until 6pm tonight while we carry out essential maintenance work.
We apologise for the inconvenience.
Every day’s a school day!
It’s back to school time – and the kids don’t have to be the only ones getting new stationery! Maybe you’ve got a bit more time on your hands? Here at the council, we’re offering a series of diverse and affordable classes that start in September, for learners aged 16 and up.
Who Do You Think You Are?
Morningside Mobile Service Alteration
Due to unavoidable vehicle maintenance the mobile library service in Morningside will not be running today. Normally service will be resumed tomorrow, August 30th, at 10.00am. We apologise for any inconvenience.
