Holocaust Memorial Day

27th January marks the international day of remembrance for the victims and survivors of the Holocaust and subsequent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur. The theme of this year's Holocaust Memorial Day is "Speak Up, Speak Out".

The full horror of genocide is most powerfully brought home by the personal testimonies of its victims, which is why we’d encourage you to take time to read these moving and unforgettable accounts, or borrow some of the films these stories inspired.

Also, come along to Central Library, where from January 23rd until March 15th we will be hosting an exhibition on the remarkable life of Holocaust survivor Ernest Levy.
