Library2go gives you 24hr access to hundreds of ebooks and audiobooks for free from the comfort of your home. We subscribe to several services all providing different formats so there’s something to suit everyone’s needs.

OverDrive

1000s of ebooks and audiobooks available to download from worldwide publishers. As well as our library's ebook collection you can also access over 19,000 classic books from Project Gutenberg through Overdrive which you can download and keep forever.
First Time Users should read our guide to getting started and our How to Use OverDrive information before starting to use the service. An iPhone/iPad app and an Android app is also available for OverDrive. Before you can use OverDrive visit a library with proof of your residence within the EH postcode area (a current utility bill or drivers license etc) and ask to have your membership changed for eBook usage. Clipper DL

All you need is an internet-enabled computer to access over 600 best selling audiobooks to download and play on your PC, or transfer to an MP3 player, iPod, or even a mobile phone. All it takes is a few clicks to download them and then when transferred to your mobile player you can enjoy them wherever and whenever you want!

Public Library Online

Be reading an ebook within 30 seconds! Public Library Online's online ebooks, require no downloading or software. Just login and read straightaway! Titles are arranged into 'shelves' such as Autobiography, Love the Film Read the Book, Know the Game, Soldiers and Spies, Our Environment, Canongate Bestsellers, Shakespeare, Parenting SOS and Book Group Reads. International Children's Digital Library

Access a growing collection of online children's books representing historical and contemporary books from throughout the world. Over 400 European language books available including Polish, French and Hungarian as well as worldwide titles from places such as India, Asia and the Middle East. Read online, no need to download.

Reference Books Online

Read full-text reference books online. We have a wide range of titles available on KnowUK including Which? guides, Rough Guides, and books on personal finance, sport, schools and education guides. Oxford Reference Online has a fantastic range of academic dictionaries and textbooks too.
