OverDrive
OVERDRIVE HAS CHANGED! CLICK TO FIND OUT MORE

Overdrive gives you access to 1000s of ebooks and audiobooks for free. Choose from three easy ways to enjoy this service:
• Read ebooks on your computer over the Internet with Overdrive Read. Super easy access with no downloading or software installation needed. Bookmark the book's webpage when open to continue to read when off-line
• Use one of Overdrive’s Apps for tablets and phones available for Apple, Android, Nook HD, Blackberry and Kindle Fire (click links for full app instructions).
• Download ebooks and audiobooks and transfer them to your ebook reader or MP3 player.
As well as our library's ebook collection you can also access over 20,000 classic books from Project Gutenberg which you can download and keep forever. Before you can use OverDrive you must upgrade your membership for ebook usage. To do this - email your Edinburgh address (home, work or study) and library card number to informationdigital@edinburgh.gov.uk. Alternatively visit a library with proof of your residence within the EH postcode area (a current utility bill or drivers license etc).
Zinio
Zinio eMagazine service lets you read full digital copies of your favourite magazines for free from your computer, smartphone or tablet. 111 magazines are currently available covering everything from food to computers, and music to motoring. Titles include Hello!; Ideal Home; Men’s Fitness; New Scientist; National Geographic; BBC Good Food; Total Film, TV Times and much more.
To set up Zinio on your computer follow the instructions for First Time Users and then read our How to Use Zinio guide. Zinio magazines may also be read on a wide variety of apps including Apple, Android, Blackberry Playbook and Kindle Fire. You may also find the Zinio User Guide useful with screen shots of how to set up and use Zinio.
OneClickdigital
Access c.1000 best selling audiobooks to listen to on your computer, MP3 player, tablet or mobile phone. All it takes is a few clicks to download them and then you can enjoy them wherever and whenever you want!

International Children's Digital Library
Access a growing collection of online children's books representing historical and contemporary books from throughout the world. Over 400 European language books available including Polish, French and Hungarian as well as worldwide titles from places such as India, Asia and the Middle East. Read online, no need to download.
Reference Books Online
Read full-text reference books online. We have a wide range of titles available on KnowUK including Which? guides, Rough Guides, and books on personal finance, sport, schools and education guides. Oxford Reference Online has a fantastic range of academic dictionaries and textbooks too.
