FUNgineers: digging up the past
Wester Hailes Library have continued their children’s STEM club, FUNgineers during libraries' closure with a series of activity videos all about the wonderful world of archaeology.

Edinburgh Collected - can you help us record history today?
Edinburgh Libraries continue our role to document the city's history by recording the visual signs and impact of how life has changed on Edinburgh Collected, our online community archive.
Can you help us by submitting images of your neighbourhood taken whilst on your daily walk or on the way to the supermarket? Once added, we'll add them to the 'Edinburgh 2020 - coronavirus pandemic' scrapbook.
Online book groups
Craigmillar Library have partnering with Open Book to host an online book group via Zoom. The meetings will be fortnightly on Tuesday mornings, from 10 to 11 am, beginning on 5 May 2020.
Open Book provide all the material and each session it is a short story and a poem or two. Participants can take part in shared reading or staff will be happy to read the whole thing. If participants feel more comfortable just listening, they can turn their video off. The reading stops every now and again for the group to discuss the story or poem.

South-west Edinburgh Libraries are hosting a new online book group. A live discussion will take place through a free online video/audio call service. The book group meet online fortnigthtly on Thursdays at 3pm. All books chosen for the book group will be from the 'always available' collections on the Libraries' Overdrive ebook service, so everyone will be able to borrow a copy for free.
