Edinburgh Collected - can you help us record history today?
Edinburgh Libraries continue our role to document the city's history by recording the visual signs and impact of how life has changed on Edinburgh Collected, our online community archive.
Can you help us by submitting images of your neighbourhood? Once added, we'll add them to the 'Edinburgh 2020-2021 - coronavirus pandemic' scrapbook.
Online book groups
Craigmillar Library have partnered with Open Book to host an online shared reading group via Zoom. The meetings are fortnightly on Tuesday mornings, from 10 to 11 am.
A Lead Reader from Open Book will bring the reading materials to each session - usually a short story and a poem or two. Participants can read aloud if they wish, or just sit back and enjoy the story. Every now and then the reading stops for the group to discuss the material together.
Southwest Edinburgh Libraries are hosting an online book group. A live discussion will take place through a free online video/audio call service. The book group meet online fortnightly on Thursdays at 3pm. All books chosen for the book group will be from the 'No Wait' collection on the Libraries' Overdrive/Libby ebook service. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and to find out how to join in.
