Milebush book group had a good discussion after reading this book. It is metafiction, in a sparely written style. Lucy reviews her life with the New York Chrysler building as a hospital back-drop. Her background is one of extreme poverty and abuse; she especially examines the relationship with her mother, longing to be told she is loved. It is easy to relate to, then moving on to consider the relationships with her own husband and two daughters. Generally members found the book enjoyable with a rating of 4/5.
