I loved this. I know it's had a certain amount of hype around it, and more particularly probably because it was televised, but I did really enjoy the story. I thought the characters were well drawn and the dynamics between them strong. I found the setting and the religious backdrop interesting as I didn't know much about Amsterdam society at that time. It's very engaging as a novel, I'd recommend it.
