London 1893. When Cora Seaborne's controlling husband dies, she steps into her new life as a widow with as much relief as sadness. Marmite book. About half of us loved it & other half either disliked it or couldn't finish it. Everyone liked descriptions of landscape a lot. Confusing story & almost 2 books in one. We all wanted more of Martha she deserves a book to herself.
